‘We have decided to have our wedding in Santorini because it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world to us. What we want from a wedding photographer is to fit our style and capture all the unique moments of our wedding day on the island…’ Dmitry and Anastasia told us during our first contact.
This is how it all started and so was our journey to shoot their wedding. It isn’t our first time covering a wedding in Santorini but we admit that every time a pleasant surprise is there for us waiting. Planning a wedding on a Greek island while living in Russia isn’t easy at all, but the result in the end is really rewarding. It’s worth mentioning that every year more and more couples choose Santorini as a wedding destination. Our excitement to meet the couple was great.
Having a drink at the picturesque alleys of the island with that breathtaking caldera view, we’ve talked over all the wedding and photoshoot details.Great mood, laughter and sincere smiles are what make Dmitry and Anastasia lovable. And yes, it wasn’t at all coincidental that the chose to get married in Santorini since they said ‘We have fallen in love with Santorini since the first time we visited the island and we kept saying to get married here‘.
A hot August morning heading to Oia for the couple’s photo shooting. Too crowded everywhere, too hot and too many tourists going up and down are the obstacles we faced during the shots of Dmitry and Anastasia. But when you are in high spirits and there’s chemistry, you overcome all the difficulties.
Imerovigli, Dreaming Suites. 5am. When you get there, the caldera view is worth all the steps and alleys you have to walk through. Minimal decoration, as a small wedding in Santorini should be. Anastasia in that beautiful breathtaking Grecian wedding dress! The few guests arrive who happen to be just their families. And then the couple arrives, walking down the steps towards the rest. Just the two of them, holding their hands, exchanging their vows. A simple and meaningful ceremony with caldera view…
After the ceremony and some glasses of champagne, we walked through Imerovigli to get some pictures. It would be a shame not to mention that Anastasia’s dad gave us a bottle of vodka as a gift which we can’t enjoy because we dropped it… Guys, you owe us a bottle of vodka!
We are so glad we have met you and we will never stop saying that. Our friends from Moscow. This is who you are.
We will never get tired to recommend Mary and Konstantinos as the best photography artist who can really capture special moments of your life! These guys not only make gorgeous photos that allow you to playback your memories again and again but also create wonderful atmosphere and really make you feel special. We loved the pictures from our Santorini wedding!
And wish good luck to the guys!
